EMS - Event Management System

 

EMS Campus

EMS Campus is a campus-wide Event Management System used to schedule spaces in campus facilities. Through a desktop client, event planners and schedulers are able to reserve space in real-time, add equipment and event setup details, send event confirmations, and generate reports.

 

EMS Web App (Virtual EMS)

EMS Web App is an add-on to the EMS Campus. Through a data connector, EMS Web App pulls information from EMS Campus (event name, event times, event location, contact information, etc...) to automatically display in the Web App reservation calendars and event schedules.

EMS Web App is a web-based application that allows campus authenticated users to check space availability, to view real-time reservation calendars and event schedules, and to submit reservation requests to reserve space.

  • Access from on-campus and off-campus networks
  • Authentication required through CatID SignOn

 

EMS Master Calendar

EMS Master Calendar is an add-on to the EMS Campus. Through a data connector, EMS Master Calendar pulls information from EMS Campus (event name, event times, event location, contact information, etc...) to automatically populate individual event calendars in Master Calendar.

If an event is scheduled in a space using EMS Campus, it can be set to automatically display in Master Calendar. Master Calendar also affords the ability to add events that are not held on campus (i.e. virtual events, and other off-campus events, etc...).

Master Calendar is access at: eventschedule.uni.edu

  • Access from on-campus network only
  • Anyone can view public calendars
  • Only authorized individuals can add events to the Master Calendar either as a Calendar Manager, Calendar Users, or Calendar Requestor.

Events pulled into Master Calendar can be further developed in Master Calendar to include thumbnail size images, links to web sites and/or links to registration forms.
