We help students succeed.

We do this by:

  • Facilitating a sense of belonging for all UNI students.
  • Emphasizing relational experiences and connections.
  • Prioritizing holistic care for the well-being of our students.
  • Meeting students where they are on their journey to success.
  • Providing radical service, in all that we do.

Strategic Priorities

  • We will provide opportunities for all students to build connections within the university community, and know what it means to belong to the UNI community.
  • We will provide leadership in the collaborative efforts to support students across our UNI community, prioritizing partnerships across divisions and within the Cedar Valley and Iowa communities.
  • We will develop a division brand that is centered around personalized referrals for everyone who utilizes our services, prioritizing information sharing with campus partners and students, expertise highlighting, and embracing our roles as helpers for the UNI community.
  • We will invest in our team of employees by prioritizing personal and professional development, building community within our division and providing opportunities to learn new skills, continuing to be and define what it means to be a “Great Place to Work”.
  • We will use data and evidence to tell our story, highlighting the work we do and the services we provide to the UNI and Cedar Valley communities.
  • We will provide radical service, in all that we do and offer, to every person who encounters our facilities, services, and members of our team, so that they may feel our strong sense of commitment to our work.
  • We will be be responsible and ethical stewards of our resources, assessing and connecting our work to campus priorities and commitments, while also prioritizing student engagement,  partnerships within the division, flexibility and efficiency in operations,  and growing our business operations so that we may continue to provide excellent facilities, services, and programs for students.
